Except for people who perform a physical job that allows them to use their muscles daily, they really don&#8217;t know how to build muscle in their body. </p>
<p>Learning how to build muscles is not very difficult but actually doing all the exercises to build these muscles can be very difficult. Do you wish to build muscles and lose weight? Is your target to build muscles without losing weight? Your response to these two questions will determine what steps need to be taken. </p>
<p>How to Build Muscles without Reducing Weight</p>
<p>One of the most effective ways to build muscle without losing weight is to lift weights. To do this over a long term period it may be a wise idea to purchase weights. If building muscle is your only goal, you may want to completely stop or cut down the amount of cardio exercises you&#8217;re doing. </p>
<p>Set Targets For Yourself</p>
<p>The first thing you need to do to ensure success is to set practical goals for yourself. Determine how many days per week you&#8217;re going to work out. Many times the number of days you intend to work out and the number of days you are actually able to work out are very different. Set a goal of approximately 3 to 5 days per week with sessions of no more than an hour. The last thing that you would like is to do too much training and tire yourself too quickly. Not only will you end up losing muscles instead of building them, but you may also end up losing interest in your work out.</p>
<p>Many people make the mistake of working on specific parts of their body, which can also slow down the process. It&#8217;s very important that you work out the complete body. If you&#8217;re lifting weights, divide the sessions equally for all parts of your body (legs, abs, arms, chest, etc.). Workouts should be just 6 to 12 sets per session. The higher number should be reserved for the legs, chest, back and other major muscles in your body with the lower number for the smaller muscles such as calves, biceps, triceps and shoulders. </p>
<p>A Healthy Diet Will Help Build Muscles</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve probably always been informed that dieting is for losing weight and only for losing weight. However, if your objective is to build muscle, you will need to regulate your diet. In fact, your easting habits are almost as important for building muscle as your exercises.</p>
<p>Carbohydrates are an important component of your daily eating habits. Although many people feel carbs should be avoided, they&#8217;re vital for helping rid the body of fat and gaining muscle mass. The key here is to consume &#8220;good&#8221; carbs such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. </p>
<p>Be particular about the kind of fats you put in your body. The best fats for your body are polyunsaturated fats, which can be found in fish, flaxseed, nuts, olive oil or anything rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. </p>
<p>You need to stay away from items that are high in Trans and saturated fats. This information is provided on almost all products you buy today so it&#8217;s easy to know what you&#8217;re consuming.  You may want to be careful about monitoring what you buy from vending machines as these are frequently eating and generally rich in saturated fats. </p>
<p>To build muscles it is a good idea to eat a diet that is rich in proteins. These are usually found in eggs, meat and legumes. </p>
<p>Counting calories is important when you&#8217;re trying to build muscles, whether you also want to lose weight or not. If you intent to just build muscle without losing weight, you should consume more calories than you can burn. The workouts will turn these extra calories into muscle. However, if you intend to lose weight as well, you will want to have a diet that has less calories than you burn.</p>

<p>Most people are focused to reducing weight on their thighs, buttocks and hips, especially women. The big question is to see if you can reduce weight in these specific areas but maintain your weight overall. Listed below are some great tips on reducing weight in these specific body parts.</p>
<p>If your main goal is to lose weight on your buttocks, you may be faced with a big challenge. Few women need to lose weight in their buttocks without also needing to lose it in their hips and thighs as well. In general these 3 areas tend to go together when it comes to gaining or losing weight. </p>
<p>There is hardly a work out just for the buttocks. <p>The best way to reduce weight on your thighs and buttocks is by doing strength training exercises. Exercises that work on the cardiovascular system will not only make you stronger but will also help you to burn more calories, which is what&#8217;s required to lose weight. If you choose an exercise that you enjoy, you&#8217;ll find that you&#8217;ll be able to do it longer. Some excellent methods of cardio and strength training include walking, jogging, running, cycling and swimming</p>
<p>Consistency is the key here. It is usual to feel some pain in your muscles for the first couple of days. However, if you stop your exercise then you will need to start all over again. Provided you&#8217;re not overdoing it in the beginning, your muscles being sore means they&#8217;re working for you. </p>

<p>Dieting is also an important component of reducing your weight on your hips, thighs and buttocks. The primary cause why people gain weight is from taking in more calories than they can burn. The reason they become flabby and out of shape is due to lack of exercise. It is therefore easy to see that to lose weight and get back in shape you will need to focus on both exercise and diet.</p>

<p>Many of us know fasting as something that has religious and/or spiritual applications, or perhaps as a political statement or tool. (Almost always a bad idea!) However you&#8217;ve thought of fasting in the past, it may be time to look at it in a new way. Intermittent fasting has evolved into a useful way to cut your caloric intake and still maintain energy and strength enough to workout and get stronger, and in general become more fit. </p>
<p>An intermittent fast can be defined as one in which the person fasting abstains from everything but water for a period of 24 hours, one to two times per week. This definition serves those who would use this as a tool in their weight loss routine, and still be able to workout. Think of the benefits of exercising a full two days worth of calories from your diet, and still be burning them up at a high rate simultaneously. Sounds attractive, eh?  </p>
<p>Now, employing a fast once or twice a week and then using the remaining days to practice for eating contests won&#8217;t cut it. You need to practice restraint and employ a sensible eating plan for those days, but all in all, most people report that the urge to pig out isn&#8217;t as strong as they thought it would be.  </p>

<p>One of the biggest benefits of doing intermittent fasting as a part of your workout program is that studies have shown that not only is your energy NOT diminished, but it actually seems to be enhanced, and your metabolism isn&#8217;t reduced but clearly further stoked up. This is the primary complaint among people who would use a traditional fast. They would no longer have the gas left in their tank to work out, and while they&#8217;d lose weight, often it would be muscle mass, which sort of defeats the purpose. </p>
<p>When starting out with intermittent fasting, make sure you start out easy, getting your body used to skipping a day once a week, then perhaps two. Also take it slow when working out during this transition time, until you start to feel as though you&#8217;re able to take a full load in your workout program. This won&#8217;t take long, and in fact will leave you hungering for more, and I don&#8217;t mean food! </p>
<p>If you&#8217;re seeking a way to accelerate your fat loss and still keep working out, then you need to take a good look at intermittent fasting. You may be pleased at just how effective it can be at painlessly reducing your caloric intake while at the same time allowing you sufficient energy to complete your workouts! </p>

<p>I think most people don&#8217;t really want to hear it, because it means they may have to change their lifestyle! The truth can be tough to take.</p>
<p>But since I am 38 and someone the other night that I just met thought I was 28, I wanted to let out some of my secrets! If you start implementing a few things now, you will likely slow your aging process drastically, and 10 years will not have a big impact on your appearance.</p>
<p><strong>Here are my secrets that I&#8217;ve been practicing for about 10 years now:<br />
</strong><br />
1. Start with your diet. Cut way down on sugars. Eat a low carbohydrate diet, meaning, cut out sodas, cereals, and fast food, and cut down on your bread and pasta intake. What&#8217;s really great about this is that it will flatten out your tummy in addition to allowing you to look and feel younger.</p>

<p>2. Exercise, but don&#8217;t overdo it. I typically do some kind of exercise daily, but I don&#8217;t exactly pound myself into the ground. Sometimes it&#8217;s a walk, sometimes a 30 minute swim or weight session&#8230;but I&#8217;m not a proponent of trying to burn off lots of calories and wear yourself out so that you can gorge on unhealthy food!</p>
<p>3. Eat fish and take fish oils. Not only are you doing something healthy for your heart by getting natural anti-inflammatory properties in fish oil, but you are helping out your skin and eyes as well!</p>
<p>4. Drink plenty of water. I know you&#8217;ve heard this one so technically it&#8217;s probably not a secret. BUT, one thing that I learned more recently is just how dehydrated we are when we wake up. It&#8217;s SUPER important to drink a full glass of water upon awakening to restore that hydration and keep energy levels up as well as keep the skin from drying out and wrinkling.</p>
<p>5. Drink green tea. Research has shown the properties in green tea can help with fat burning and weight loss. Plus it&#8217;s loaded with anti-oxidants. You have to drink at least a couple of cups a day though to get the health benefits.</p>
<p>6. Do not avoid sunlight. I typically get around 20-30 minutes of peak (between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.) sunlight a day. Of course, avoiding sunburn is very important in not forming wrinkles as most people know, but natural sunlight in these small doses allows your body to produce Vitamin D- very important in fighting cancer and other diseases.</p>
